Healing time is different depending on the part of your body that you get pierced. Some parts are more likely to get infected or have problems. Piercings on your ear lobes usually take about 6-8 weeks to heal. However, piercings on the side of your ear (cartilage) can take anywhere from 4 months to 1 year to heal
- Wash your hands with antibacterial soap before touching your ears.
- Clean your ears three to four times a day with antibacterial soap and water.
- Use a saline cleaning solution along with the antibacterial soap and water.
- Rotate the earrings gently while the skin is still wet.
16 & 17 yrs of Age
A person who is 16 or 17 years old may be pierced with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. While valid Identification is only required from the parent or guardian it is preferred that both the minor and the parent or guardian have valid identification.
